I would consider some of Rosewill's other offerings but never PSUs. Have had two in the past die relatively quickly. They're Newegg's house label and they don't make anything, it's all rebranded components from other manufacturers. I recall a coworker saying their PSUs are Enermax or Powmax.

Try reading the entire thread before posting incorrect information. These are Super Flower Golden Green platform which are excellent.

While some of their cheaper ones are less than steller, their better ones are just that. BETTER ONES. Like almost every other brand of PSU on the market they are re-branded from some other manufacturer. Ante, Corsair, OCZ, and most of the other top brands recommended here on OCN are all re-branded as well. Seasonic, Channel Well, Delta, HEC, FSP, among others all sell PSU's to other companies who put their own name on them so why should that make a Rosewill any different in that respect. What makes a difference is which manufacturer they use on a specific psu. Corsair, OCZ, Antec, and every other brand has a lot of difference between their better units and their low quality units. If you don't understand that then you have no business posting worthless crap and false information in a thread like this.

For the record, Enermax doesn't make all of their PSU's and PowMax is nothing but a re-brand Leadman so that shoots your clueless co-worker's info right out of the water.

Someone who looks at the name of the actual manufacturer of the INSIDE of a PSU rather than the brand on the outside and is more worried about getting a solid PSU for a decent price than they are some fancy name that actually means nothing. Only a moron would discriminate due to the name on the outside that has nothing to do with the quality on the inside.

Yikes--I seem to have popped a vein. I apologize. It was years ago that I owned Rosewill, I guess things have changed. I didn't mean any criticism by saying they rebrand either. Just stating that they rebrand. I'm well aware other manufacturers do the same.
Years ago, Rosewill was crap. Deer and Youngyear and Wintech junk units based on ATX1.3 with crappy build quality that couldn't do their rated wattage.

That was just generation one of Rosewill PSUs. Since they've used ATNG and Solytech and Sirfa and now Superflower, and are generally much higher quality than they used to be.

Rosewill has been upping their game across a wide variety of PC peripherals. Their DESTROYER and CHALLENGER cases are very functional and affordable, with black painted interiors and cable management on the CHALLENGER, their price and quality can't be beat.

Wow, the amount of misinformation is strong with you.

I've built 100s of budget PCs with Rosewill PSUs the past few years. The only problems I had were DOA and that's only a problem with shipping and not the PSU itself.

You don't seem to know much about PSU's. The only thing that makes a PSU good is the manufacturer, and Rosewill is a crappy manufacturer. It's as simple as that. When your PC catches on fire thanks to Rosewill being so crappy you'll come to thank me for telling you this. You think you're so cool with your Rosewill PSU. You can keep sitting in your little Rosewill corner; I'll stick with brands that have made a name for themselfs like Xion, Thermaltake, Logisys and OCZ which as most people know almost always makes greate products. Always trust in the brand name or you will be sorry, Rosewill-man!
