Requirements for BF3

Thread Starter
Anyone know the requirements for BF3 running on High Or better?

I'm thinking about grabbing that bad boy when it's out but I want to make sure my sig rig will be able to handle it or not?

I was also thinking about upgrading to an i7 anyways but I was just making sure. and If i were to upgrade. do you guys think SLI 250's can handle on High? I already have 2 of them so It can save me some cash on new cards.

I guess it depends on what FPS you want. I don't get a constant 120fps with dual 580's and an i7 on BF:BC2. At the start of a map the fps are like 200, as the cpu gets more and more involved it starts to come down. It's still always above 80 I think. Custom high with HBAO and bloom off. My thoughts? i7 won't be enough if you want to really run BF3.

Nothing is out.

The only information we have is that a DICE employee said that a 460 will run it, and that a BF3 demo machine was running a quad core CPU and 5800 video card.

No one knows how it will run on anything except for that.

/Thread.

too soon to guess. SLI 250 on any DX10 game is gonna do ok. High settings, doubt it.

lots of speculation... no real answers.

here is a link to your card in SLI,

Hopefully they release some specs soon, I'm building a new PC and THIS game is the deciding factor as to what parts I buy.

Then what do you suggest? An AMD chip? I don't understand your logic.

So you're trying to say that even the new Sandy Bridge i7's and even Ivy Bridge i7's won't be able to run BF3?

Haha, i7 cant run BF3... LOL

So what, basically your gonna rule out most AMD chips, i7 beats a 1090T on standard clocks, and then when OC-ing, I've never seen people reach more than 4 gHz.

If what your saying is true, I think everyone with an i7 and lower will rush out to buy, what, an SR-2, just to run BF3?

SR-2 with two 990x's. That might run BF3.

Any quad-core at 3.8GHz+..... 4-6GB RAM..... and get the best possible video card.
