Replacement feet for a DeathAdder?

Thread Starter
Just wondering if there are any better options for a DeathAdder than the stock Razer feet.

I got my Black Edition a month or so back and while it was absolutely fine on the old hard Razer pad I was using, I felt like I wanted a change, and loved the idea of a large pad that would also help dampen the noise from my keyboard and so I bought a Goliathus Extended Control Edition. Still not sure how I feel about the design/branding, but I like using the pad itself, though switching to a darker pad does seem to have increased the lift-off distance a bit.

However after a week or two of use, I'm starting to notice the feet are beginning to catch on the pad slightly. It seems like it might just be uneven wear that I could sort if I used it on the rough side of the hard pad for a few days, but I'm wondering if there's a better solution because I don't want to ruin the surface of this mat or potentially have to keep switching every few weeks.

hyperglides are much better but still might "catch" the pad if you dont apply them at even level

Hyperglides are the smoothest and most durable you can get. I only have to replace mine biannually.

I'll also vote for Hyperglides. Take your time when applying them to make sure they are properly positioned and fully adhered.

Are you sure the catching/dragging isn't caused by the plastic bottom of the mouse? All deathadders have this flaw brand new right out of the box.

I use a finger grip on the mouse rather than a palm grip, so that doesn't seem to be the case. I think it's actually one of the top feet that's catching a bit. It's probably just that the feet are a little 'sharp' on the edges because they're new though...

I'll definitely look into the hyperglides though, seems to be unanimous.

I had a funcpad a few years ago that was bent in the middle ever so slightly upwards. This caused my mice to scrape against in when in the middle of the pad because the curvature was just enough that the mouse "high-centered" on it.

Something to look into. Make sure your pad is perfectly even.
