I went from these systems to my rig now, so definitely HUGE jump.

Desktop:
1.6GHz Pentium III

My biggest upgrade was going from a Pentium 4 2Ghz Sony Vaio to Eclipse in my sig bought the vaio in 2001 or 2002 and ran it until 2008, then sold it on ebay for $300
