what ram should i use?

hey guys... i am building a new pc for heavy gaming....
should i use 8gb kingston value ram or 4gb corsair dominator?
I'd say dominators. The valueram doesn't even come with sinks if I remember correctly, and you'll be able to get the dominators tighter and faster. Altho I had that valueram one time and they had elpida chips, although they were the crappy ones. Go with the dominators.

Yea it'll be less but you don't quantity, you want quality. I'd rather have 4GB running at 1600 with 7-8-7--24-1t than running at 8GB 1066 or 1333 with 9-10-9-27-2t or whatever. is the 8GB set 2x4gb or 4x2gb???

Yep dominators are running at speeds of 1600 with cas of 8. A Tad faster than 1333 but that difference might be negligible. You do know those kingston modules are low profile though right? So if you are buying aftermarket sinks they have to fit low profile sticks.

EDIT: Not positive on that actually on them being low profile but the ones that I had bought were. And if you go to newegg all the kingston valueram is low profile. However there were one or two sets that weren't but I think the pics may be generic pics and not actual ram modules.
