For those of you bashing that it's no different from any other FPS:
Tell me, what else exactly is there to ask for in a FPS? I mean... what's missing? You all seem to claim that there is so much more that can be done. What is it? Of course every FPS is going to have guys running around shooting and throwing grenades. What else do you want? Really the only differences we can expect are improved visual and audio effects, good performance, and a relatively bug-clean experience with good gameplay balance. We already have all sorts of vehicles. I guess the other things I PERSONALLY would beg for are gadgets like grappling hooks, zip lines, and tear gas from BF2:SF. Other than that, I find it pretty moot to say "but COD has that..." We're getting a single player campaign and SOME SORT of co-operative mode which we don't have details for yet. Hopefully, it's the full-blown single player campaign with the option of co-operative play. That would be a nice "new thing" for these kinds of shooters.
I agree on the swear filter. Rather annoying. It's an M-rated game, with guns, blood, and audible cursing. I don't understand why BC2 has a chat swear filter when the soldiers themselves scream F-, B-, etc. in battle.
Thanks very much for that, I enjoyed looking through them.Edited by Stealth Pyros - 3/2/11 at 12:00pm
