Thread Starter
Anyone else getting it?

I get around 50-70 and then it goes down to 10. Even when I'm just running down a hall.
4-year build.

I get 50-60 fps and then it goes down to 30fps, but not that low.

mine has v-sync on. goes down from 60 to 55-57. stutters every 3-4 seconds it's annoying as hell. how can I fix this. turning off v-sync fixes this but screen tearing looks even worse

If you run Fraps and have your fps displayed on screen!
Then stand still and watch the fps. And if they still drop every 3-4 seconds. Then I'd guess it's another program that polls every 4 seconds

I did have the same problem, and it was AIDA64 that was doing it to me

If not, IDK
Good luck

you could try turning vsync off and capping the fps at like 55-58.

I get stuttering too in some games like crysis but not frequently. Ive had it with two cards so i just blamed it on my hard drive, but i wonder if thats the real problem. ill never know till i change the drive.

it could be the hard drive. I've upgraded from a cavy green to velociraptor raid0 and stuttering was gone with dragon age 2. it could also be programs running on your background. I never would've guessed that AIDA64 (everest) is the one causing my stuttering in crysis 2(big thanks to ACHILEE5 for pointing it out). got rid of it, now It's running like it's supposed to
