If your going to have a go at people voicing their opinions, at least try to get your facts right.
Nvdia haven't officially confirmed anything, please get your facts right before you accuse others. All this Crysis bashing is just completely out of control on this forum the moderators need to do their jobs and take control and put it into one official thread.

I am a bit out of the gaming loop and I really appreciate the info in this thread. I've gone through all 15 pages and there have been many valid points. First of all, as someone mentioned, Crytek has built a reputation in the "EYECANDY" department. Their game was coded with no regard of hardware power and cost. This was very important because many avid fans went out and bought the best and latest from ATI/NVIDIA. There was need for GPU power and even after so many years, hardware is not on par with that game. You can count on one hand the rigs on OCN that can run Crysis at full HD resolution with V-SYNC on. Lets not talk about Eyefinity or Surround because people need to tweak the graphics.

Truth be told, Crytek prepared us for the eventuality that the game will be better coded and naturally we assumed the IQ would be as good as Crysis 1 but with less power requirements. I must admit, I am shocked at what I see in this thread. If the info in here is true then Crytek are hypocrites. They promote PC Gaming on one side and give the shaft on the other? Many expected Crysis 2 to make the most potent rigs cry for lack of GPU awesomeness. If this is not the case, Crytek has given PC gaming another nail in its coffin.

I will wait for official news before buying this game...

You do know Crysis 2 doesn't require Steam at all? I'd rather have a physical copy so i can have my copy sitting NEXT to my Crysis and Warhead Complete collection. Also don't fret about the graphics.. this is the reason why we have sandbox editor. Remember a couple of years ago Crysis graphics was ok but nice.. we improved it with mods and tweaks and using sandbox editor. You'll be surprised how MUCH we will change CRYSIS 2.. Oh man cryengine 2 is amazing

Glad mine doesn't show that cuz i added a command in target without seeing "press start." feels like a PC. Only shows me the login to multiplayer. I even disabled INTRO!

DX9 just means better performance.
Don't forget the fact we can use dx10 also besides 9 and 11

Good to know Crytek blatantly lied about this game being a PC game first and foremost just to gain backing and support of PC gamers.

Crytek can piss off.

Well it may hurt us.. but hey.. sandbox editor.. think of it.. we'll change the way Crysis 2 will be and perhaps improve it much more PC like
