I didn't want a game that busts my rig up like the first did when it came out. I wanted a game with better gameplay, which this has, and hopefully a better story. I don't want to have to spend £800 on 2 GTX580's just to get playable framerates.
The game looks beautiful as it is. Its just because its not in a jungle environment that it doesn't require the same level of detail to pull it off. A flat wall is easier then tree's after all. I think it's going to sell pretty well. Everywhere I go aside from OCN seems to be enjoying it.
Where do you go, exactly?
Everywhere I go I see offended PC gamers, and with good reason. They could have designed Crysis 2 for the PC using the exact same engine as Crysis 1 and I would have been all for it. Everything was there and now everything's gone with this POS.
To answer the OP's question - indeed, it cost them my sale too. Last night I cancelled my £26.99 pre-order from Play.com.
With our response, I bet either Crysis 3 has the same horrible port job, even worse or it doesn't get released for the PC at all (as punishment for our disapproval! LOL).
