BF3 Compared to a latest COD game is like Reality VS Fantasy.

A lot of you guys have the problem where you side with the first "serious" opinion about something that is big. You can't just read this review and, because you consider it to be both credible and expected, let it prevent you from forming your own opinions. There are bigger things at hand, behind the scenes, and while we may never know exactly what they are, they have to be considered as possibilities.
For example, it is a possibility that this game will be a flop, but that is so unlikely. Bad company was a technology test that had potential to bring revenue to further bigger projects. Bad company 2 took it to a more polished and content filled level, and brought it to Pc gaming. These are just steps in the cycle. Activision produces money makers and they do not put that money towards furthering the technology, like EA DICE does, they use the same formula and make millions off of it until it dies, then they may consider the next step. I see a 1-engine-per-generation trend.

Every FPS EA has released has added a new feature set and polished bugs from the last one. (minus exceptions such as Medal of Honor, but that also had it's own purpose, to generate extra revenue and begin the marketing for BF3. Perhaps they even used it to test thier ability to create a serious single player campaign.)

If you look at the way scoring systems for games has changed in the past few years you might understand that, A: a 9.0 or 90% is a must have for a flagship title, and B: a solid single player is a must have to achieve that score, even if it is a game that was intended to be multiplayer only, the goofball game reviewer will say "great multiplayer, i think (my pc cant run it) but there was no single player so i score it a 3/10 in content bringing the overall score to a 7.0.

This game is going to be amazing. Don't even try to turn your nose up in the air and act like you are better than this trend you feel you have so cleverly exposed.

Agreed, their was nothing wrong with Modern Warfare's Single Player.

I would have to agree but I am a huge Battlefield fan and I think the COD is lacking in areas of game play. The single player is just fine I like blow stuff up.

Personally I could give two poops about the single player, BF is all about the Multiplayer, and that has the potential to be great. Oh, and its shiny too.
BFBC2 had a single player campaign, but who really cares about single player when BF has been known to be a great multiplayer action.

BF3 will rewrite FPS history.

Thats what Im thinking. BF2142 was crazy when you had a full map of 64 players duking it out!!
