as to the OP: im not exactly sure why its capped, it could just be the game itself. have you tried another game to see if its the same cap or if you get a higher framerate?

Many "3D Vision 120hz" monitors only run at 120hz whenever displaying 3D (60hz per eye). When not viewing 3D, 60hz is the max you can get. So if you're running V-sync, that would explain why you're getting 60-ish FPS.

You would have to research it a little, but I know that's the case with the 2233RZ and others.

That still doesn't explain why I get great FPS in other games. It is so strange because the cap is literally at exactly 62.5

This is because they both implement mouse smoothing and/or acceleration. I don't know how it works exactly, but the caps can be removed easily:

For bulletstorm you need to download the Bulletstorm INI Editor (link) and open up StormInput.ini (in documents>my games>bulletstorm>config), find the line that reads 'bEnableMouseSmoothing=true' and change it to false.

For Crysis 2, you need to make a shortcut to Crysis2Demo.exe and add "+i_mouse_accel 0 +i_mouse_smooth 0" into the target box at the end.

Obviously these will disable mouse acceleration & smoothing, but you'll get your higher framerates provided you have the power.

Let me know if it works, haven't tested myself since I run both at only 60fps.

Did you try enabling triple buffering?

It's in the Nvidia control panel under 3d options...at the very bottom near vsync.

Try it enabled with vsync enabled and disabled.

Thanks Man. I will try this after work. I am looking forward to see the FPS in Bulletstorm without a cap. Considering my GPU's are only at 50% usage right now.

No... My 2233rz is always @ 120hz. Both in 3d and 2d mode. Only time It goes to "60hz" is when in 3d vision mode.
