Scripting ODBC Sources

Thread Starter
Hey guys, our method of deploying machines is a bit old school, and done manually, so I've been trying to solve alot of the tedious tasks and one im stuck on is scripting ODBC sources.

We have two for:

iSeries Access ODBC Drivers

and four SQL Server

The information fields needing to be filled are under SystemDSN tab, not user:

Data Source Name
System (with ip address of our i series server)
SQL Default Library (under the server tab)

also the convert binary to text checkbox on the translate tab needs to be ticked off.

Thats for the iSeries access ones

the SQL's need to fill in

name:
Server:

I am willing to pay a small amount for the script, but also would take pointers in the direction to find resources to write this script myself. The only problem is my script knowledge is fairly limited, so it would be a long process.

Are you just trying to add the ODBC sources to the machine locally?

At my work, we just use registry key files for that. Works very easily. Everything is stored there.

The crude way would be to make a autoit script that goes and enters the data through the GUI.
