I'm just mad EA released DS2 then told PC gamers they wouldn't get DLC only to find out that all the DLC (except for Severed) was actually on the game.

I don't mind my 360 but it just looks so dang awful compared to my PC.

TL;DNR, but console gamers are no better. If it was easy to pirate games for consoles as it is for PC gamers, console gamers would do it as well. They might even do it more.

You honestly have two separate groups of people FTMP though.

As someone said on the first page, no real revenue loss. Loss of potential gain at best. You'd be losing more pulling the games off the market from the people that are going to actually buy the game rather than pirate it.

You really dont make sense.

Lets say there is 10,000,000 games sold of one title, lets say gamex, in total, used or not.

Now according to every game shop I have never talked to about 50% of all console games are sold used.

So if gamex sold 10,000,000 copies (assuming that 50% across the board), about 5,000,000 of those game would make the studio money. Now lets say it is 50 dollars per game. That would be a total sells of 250,000,000 dollars in sales. Because the people that buy it used would never buy it new.


Now if we assume that the 20% of people that pirate gamex would never buy it. 8,000,000 games at 50 dollars, 400,000,000 dollars.


Now about your second part, most developers drop the price after they have either turned profit or sales have slowed down too much.

Although I do see their point the thing is that the developers aren't marketing their products to suit the PC gaming market. One developer that had done a brilliant job is valve, all their games are brilliant(which is needed for a game to be successful in the first place, looking at you Activision), they're priced well (the large majority of developers need to get this into their head, $80 for an average game is unreasonable) and they are pirated very little(partly due to steam, mainly due to people wanting to pay for it).

All the developers need to do is modify their playstyle for the market and their sales will go up, we only complain when games bring nothing new to the table or they take stuff out that has been around forever (dedicated servers and mod tools specifically).
