Logitech MX518 responsiveness

Hey guys,

I was wondering if anyone else had this issue. I recently bought the MX518 off amazon since it was $20. I installed the software and I've been using it to game recently and I've noticed that it is EXTREMELY sensitive in game. I was playing Black Ops and Crysis 2 demo and I can barely keep my crosshair steady because the slightest shake causes the camera to jerk all over the place.

I have it set to maximum DPI on a low mouse sensitivity (both PC + ingame) because anything else just feels worse. I've never had this problem with my MX510 or Microsoft Intellimouse 2.0. Anyone know what could possibly be up?

Your DPI is all the way up. MX510 had max 800dpi. You are currently using twice that, lower your DPI to 800 and you should be fine. I used 800 DPI with my MX518 because I got used to my MX510.

The newer Mx518 (Avago 3080E/G5 feet/1800DPI) has glitchy drivers that actually make the mouse perform worse, but if you're able to manually bump polling rate, the problems will disappear. It shares the same perfect control/malfunction rate of 2 m/s and 4.4 m/s.

[full credit goes to skylit]

- remove the glitchy drivers, bump the polling rate of the mouse to 500-100HZ (what's feels the most stable for you)

I will ends this with picture that will proves that
