ok im planning on buying a gtx 460 for my new rig and ive narrowed it down to these three
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814187115

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814130571
i am planning on overclocking whichever one i get, so with that in mind, is the $50 gap worth it? and if so, msi or evga?

Welcome to OCN since this is your first post, I would suggest filling out your signature rig so that in the future it will be easier to answer questions about the system that you have. With that being said, I would suggest a Gigabyte one above them all - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814125333

It is in the middle for pricing, has a custom board with higher end components, and the GPUS are often binned higher (meaning better overclocking) - the cooler is an excellent cooler, and these are just all around top boards, plus the two games free doesn't hurt Just my 2 cents!

i havent actually built it yet and had to sell my old rig a while ago, so for the time being im usin my pos laptop. the only issue i had about that card when i looked at it a bit ago was that the reviews (and even personal experience) they tend to be hit or miss and die out soon. of course this is also true of sparkle

Just Make Sure Its NOT a Galaxy GTX460.

I own one, Very bad cooling if you try to sli or put next to another card

I would get The EVGA, Specially if it has the Hamster Cage Fan,(you know the fans on the side / corner?

Sparkle, their cards are not as good, I had couple of them die on me years ago.

Maybe EVGA's will be the best for your location, but I prefer GIGABYTE's more, their ultra durable materials help card stabler than non-reference one a lot.
