I wonder if Filco sells far less keyboards then Razer or SS?

Could it be possible that with increased volume, you would also see an increase of problems? Hmm

A lot of Filcos have been sold, and over a longer time frame than the Black Widow. The Razer is made by the same OEM as the Scorpios M10 and iOne UBL9, both of which have had reported QA issues (particularly the Scorpios)

It's somewhat irrelevant either way, given that there are multiple reports of BWs failing after a month or two. That doesn't really count as "eventually dying" in my books. Combine that with a company that has a terrible reputation for customer support and you've got yourself a turkey.

I am sure that there are multiple reports of Filcos dying in a few months, as-well. I wonder what kind of customer support Filco has? Say if I have a problem with my Filco, this is just hypothetical of course, given you rarely hear horror stories of such a greatly made product. What would be my options? They surely must offer me more then crappy Razer CS can.

If you truly wanted to recommend a board based on build quality and reliability. Shouldn't you be recommending a Deck?

Sure, I've heard of some. Nowhere near as many compared with the Blackwidow, especially when relative to how long the Filco has been on the market given the relatively new Razer.

The distributors for Filco have a very good reputation for customer service. So yes.

The OP is in Finland and presumably wants a Finnish layout keyboard. Situational awareness doesn't seem to be your strong point.

Also, I did point out that Finnish Topres are available, which are far better than any Cherry switch keyboard like the Filco or Cherry. You pay a lot extra for it though.

So, you judge a products build quality and reliability by the amount of stories you have heard online? Interesting logic, to say the least.

They do? Kind of a general statement to make, given your CS on a Filco would vary vastly depending on where you live. I guess because you haven't heard any stories online, then they are probably all great.

I think the issue here, is with how some people go about giving advice and recommendations. You have such strong views on brands, that you haven't even used yourself. When someone is asking for input on certain products, they really want info from people that have used or are using them. Rather, you get someone such as yourself, that just reiterates online stories and push your own opinion of things. I think before you should give give any advice, you should really have used all the products you talk about. Otherwise, its irrelevant to mention. What do you go give advice to people based off newegg comments you read on products as well? Come on now. lol

On the other hand, you seem to think that "Mine hasn't died after three weeks" is a universal gauge of how reliable they are.

Which is why I'm providing a quick summary of things that people who have used them have said. At the end of the day, what difference is it if each of the people who have had Black Widows die on them came here and posted themselves, or someone like me saying "There have been problems reported". It's not as if I am making something up. The same issues and experiences have been delivered to the person making the decision, which is all that matters at the end of the day.

If someone is going to spend upwards of 80 euros on a computer keyboard, they should be filled in with some of the facts that are known about them, and quite frankly it would be irresponsible to not let them know. They can then go and follow up on these claims if need be.
