[Gadgetsetria] AMD Dual-GPU 6990 Full Specs Revealed! - Page 2

sheesh! lol Can't even take a little poke at you guys.

$699.90

(If I were to guess, yes it'll roll in around $699 with the 590 @ $799-$849)

And I'm sure if Asus decides to get and release a special edition (and call it a Kratos...or, more realistically Zeus or Hades, which would be rad) I'd expect it to fetch $1099 or so.

I can only imagine what will happen to the 590 if MSI decides to release a special edition. (GTX R590 Lightning or something along that line)

I'm going to guess $599

I don't know why people think this will be $700. You can get 2 x 6970's for that price, and I HIGHLY doubt that they will want to have market wars with their own cards. Also, the 5970 was quite a bit cheaper than 2 x 5870's and this is basically the same thing with a refresh.

GTX590 $699-$749

Amazing, just it needs to be faster than the 590 as the 590 is dual GPU. So I hope AMD tweaks their card.

I hate those graphs when both AMD and Nvidia use them. They make absolutly no sense other than make the users think they offer much more performance than actual.

If you look at the graph its as if the 6990 is tripple the speed of the 580 which it is not. Make normal graphs that start from 0, half way on the Y axis put 100% which is nvidia then add a bit more for the AMD card. These cards are as if you go from 0 to 500 and 1 card is at 100% while the other is at 300-400%.

Just to put in perspective what AMD is showing there you need to add another 4 bars (to make 5 total 5*20 = 100) below it. Thats the real picture! I am not saying the card is bad or anything, the graphs are just manipulative!

And no I am not an Nvidia fanboy. I just upgraded from a 4870x2. Always go for what is best at the the time of deciding!
