[ENG] iPad 2 Confirmed: Ships March 11th! - Page 9

I bought the original wifi 16gb on launchday. Only complaint was no camera. Its a great piece of gear. Totally replaced my eeepc. Great for watching Netflix or Hulu plus in bed. without holding a laptop. Great for going online quickly if you need instant access to internet. I tether it to my T-mobile Nexus one so I have unlimited 3G access anywhere without the crappy AT&T plan. Also, I only have to pay one price for both internet access for my phone and tablet.

I think i'll be picking this one up. Sad there wasn't a price drop to $399. Apple would dominate the tablet market even more had they done that.

Why lower the price by 20% when you have the hottest tablet to ever hit the market. They sold 11million from April to December grossing billions. Plus it doesn't help that the competitors are releasing tablets at the same price or higher.

I do the same, tether it from my iPhone 4. No need to pay for 2 data plans, that's just silly.

It's going to retain the original pricing of the 1st one. So £419.

Shame...

Hmmmm. This is the first thing I have actually remotely considered buying from apple. I have uncontrollable urges to buy one just to act out on my Star Trek fantasies. I still don't understand the tablet fad, nor do I know what I would actually do with one, besides the aforementioned fantasy. This thing makes me feel weird ...

These were my thoughts exactly before I got the first one. Then my fiancée got me one for Christmas and I don't know what I would do without it. It just sits next to the couch. I love the thing.

I'm definitely going to pick one up for the wife. Then I'm going to sell our 13" MBP (which is like a space heater). One thing some of y'all don't realize is how handy this is if you have small kids. My 2year old is going to love playing with this thing (e.g. interactive books). You just don't have that sort of interface on a netbook, laptop and even iphone (which is too small). Its going to be the ultimate lounge device for us.
