I'm gonna say in some of your pics the difference is hard to tell and one can argue that Crysis 2 looks better but...

...when looking at these High-res pics there's no question Crysis 1 looks far superior at "equal" settings.

no, currently at launch, crysis 2 only has DX9. hence all the complaints wink.gif

also, you guys have to account for image compression.
i find default jpeg compression in crysis reduces sharpness a lot and introduces minor artifacts. compression is like doing the opposite of SSAA.

If you are unfamiliar crysis tried making DX10 look better when it came out by limiting some things that were possible in DX9.

The same can be said about Crysis 2 DX9 "possibly" being gimped in favor of DX11. The fact that all three settings, high, very high and extreme looks almost the same means something isn't being fully enabled.

Crysis 1 in DX 9.0 with modded cfg looked identical to DX 10 version so it's a fair comparison. Bottom line is that Crysis 2 looks better and runs better.

ya i admit so c2 better in lighting, but it ways better in water wave,ssao(when up the amount to 2 in c1),random of object pattern is "more varieties",POM in C1.C1 needs the ssao more to see is beauty,do u guys agree?

but i dont wanna write so much,if some here know how to see C2 much lower polygon compare to C1,the leaks build to enabled "wireframe" to see how low especially apply to the building, and most object in c2 clone much more then c1,coz i looks identical when i play it,yups in demo.

so i support the c2 when can enabled its visual power by enabled config console and tessellation. i can wait.

Some areas looked better then others. Personally I think the game looks better in dark places than in bright areas. Also one think I particularly dislike is when the sun sets or dawns the bloom effect is annoying, makes everything to yellow or orange. But I sort of saw a progression but for the most part it all stayed the same and I am not done yet smile.gif I still got a ways to go probably I was to focused on taking screenshots than playing the game. It took a while to get all of them together, I took around 300 and had to choose and select.

Crysis Warhead had the Skyes Mod right? I wouldn't use it.

High noon does look better in the game than dawn and the sunset scenes.
