Question Date: 03/01/2011

Q: According to your page http://www.evga.com/products/moreInf...012-P3-1571-KR My graphics card comes with a Lifetime warranty, But in my control panel here on your site after I registered the card it says that it has only a 3 year warranty. What is going on?

Answer Date: 03/02/2011

A: Hello, I apologize for the confusion, however KR is a 3 year warranty, please see www.evga.com/support/warranty This is being passed on to programming to get it fixed. Thank you for bringing this to our attention. If you have further issues please feel free to email us back or call support anytime 24/7. Thanks EVGA Tech Support

Tech: Dave Biel
Did you change your OP because you were linking to the "AR" page and now it is to the "KR" page?

Did they fix it already because this is what I see?

Yes I did change it because I saw that I posted the incorrect link on my original post. Thanks for pointing that out!

EVGA changed their website page for my card which was correct in my email to them that I have added to my OP as well.

SO EVGA had the info wrong on their website UNTIL I emailed them and they realized their mistake and changed it.

EDIT: In fact I actually found the cached page before EVGA changed it this morning

In 3 years, your card with only be worth roughly twice the cost of shipping charges, so it's not really a big deal.

either way take a pic of the site saying lifetime warranty
false advertising is false advertising it will hold up in a court of law
and to all the people saying the cards will be junk in 3 years
how long have the 400 series been out?
theres people still using the 295's and 8800's to this day

I have a screenshot and a link to their cached site. I highly doubt I would be taking EVGA to court though

1st thing I try to burn into people that are building custom computers, is to do your research and get to know the product you are buying and even the company you are buying from.

This really applies to anything though if you take it remotely serious.

I guess I just only spend my money if I fully understand what I am getting into and spending my money on.

In that case, call EVGA and talk to someone directly.

I have done this and they said the exact same thing that I was told in the 2 emails to them. They are not going to honor the Lifetime warranty posted on their site even though it was incorrect. And that was the site I checked and did my research on before I bought the card. I did see that newegg said 3 years like you pointed out but I would trust the manufacturer's site to be more correct than newegg
