Is good to overclock an i3-350m?

Thread Starter
I've got, from my father, a brand new Acer timelineX with an i3-350m 2.26GHz.
I work often with 3d graphics, mainly on my primary PC but, when I travel, my laptop is the only tool I have to work with.
Is it possible to overclock it without rising too much the temperatures?

No. Do *not* OC a laptop, especially if its essential to your work!

you will see no benefit from overclocking a mobile chip but unnecessary temperatures.

i have a timeline x the 3820T.

using setfsb i can get it to 2.8GHz on an i3 540m.

just make sure you are using it in low dust areas and use a temperature monitor to make sure the temps dont go higher than 100C.

i suggest you use it on an elevated surface as well as it does get hot.
