EXACTLY. But that's what people are complaining about in this thread.
What're you looking to change in Multiplayer mode? That's what you do, run around and shoot the other players. What kind of technical improvement are you looking for exactly?

This is different, this is making another stupid version of the same game over and over, and selling it over and over for 60 bucks to retarded frat boys.

Half Life has always been like a Independent art film, loved by critics and intelligent people for having an amazing story and dynamic gameplay.
Meanwhile other films are box office hits with the idiotic masses who just want to stick their thumb in their ass and eat popcorn for 2 hours while theyre assaulted by explosions, poor acting, and a formulaic hollywood ending. That way they can take a break for their sad, meaningless lives without the troublesome issue of having to think or feel anything. Thats COD.
I think you missed the point. We're talking about the two faced-ness of the community, in which one point they whine and moan about how the graphics aren't leaps and bounds beyond the previous installment, but when a game like HL2 release another episode, they spin a 180 and say "it's not just about graphics".

I think them not using a engine update is more of them saying "Everyones going to buy our game anyway, why spend money on a new engine?"

It's an excellent engine though.. probably one of the only modern FPS engines I can stand.

As someone said above, it's hard to get the feel of an engine on a console. The movement is to slow to properly feel anything.

No, I think you missed the point.
Nobody is saying that the engine needs to be revised because of graphics, were talking about the mechanics of the engine, which are crap.
Source has only needed mild changed to the engine because the mechanics were so good to begin with. Graphics have nothing to do with anything.
The fact is that COD plays like total crap, and thats what real gamers have a problem with.

I honestly wish that COD looked more stripped down, like CS because it would make the gameplay better.

Wow, you obviously are confused. We were talking about something completely different, a sidetrack if you will from the OP.

You need get your panties out of a bunch and take a nap. Someone is cranky.

He makes no sense. He has been all over the place since the first page.

Better interactions with environment, fluidity, maybe the ability to see your feet, bullet physics possibly, ect.
My real point is that if we just call it quits and say 'eh, thats good enough', nothing is ever going to progress past that point. Over the last 10 years there have been never-ending rehashes and tons of blatant generic games. It's a developer like Dice that needs to be given attention, rewarding them for their outstanding innovation.

Not sure why I got started on this, I'm not buying it anyhow, but the shrewd arrogance and ignorance from Activision is astounding.

i know what is productive. Reskinning the same game over and over and over, releasing a few tiny maps, then charging out the wazoo for a another map pack.

Thats productive.
