I dont anymore. I was being open minded, I really gave it a chance.
I though "How could 10 million people be wrong?"
Turns out 10 million people are retarded...

ID creates a new engine for every release. They will derive the new engine from an older one, re-using old code, but they don't re-use the old engine. This is actually very sad, I can't believe they are going to use the same engine for multiple "games". I actually think they should have pushed these all out as extensions/addons, this is just lame. lol

Why would they make a new engine? The current one has already hit the performance ceiling of the target platform.

No, every iD game since Doom 3 has used id Tech 4. RAGE and Doom 4 will be the first to use iD Tech 5.

What's with all the COD bashing, I understand that the gameplay isn't for everybody but to be honest it's an opinion. Stating everyone else is a retard seems a little harsh, I personally don't play COD online but I love playing it on the ps3 with my friends. To me COD isn't the best game ever, Portal takes that place , but it fun to play against friends. Yes they are using the same engine but there is distinct changes between Black ops and MW2 between the guns and wager matches. However they probably should at least give it a well deserved update at least so PC's can benefit.

Yeah, Q4 was the anomaly because DOOM3 was a failure. I didn't think it was, but apparently the world thought it was.

Sorry, the whole series became such poor rehash that hate is irrelevant.
There is nothing else in this world that would allow anyone to display any sort of disapproval towards this series.

Oh I agree 100%. A new CoD engine would definitely hamper their agenda in spamming us with the same crap every year. Yeah, gee, wouldn't want to break that chain.

What?? I LOVED Doom 3! I still play it occasionally and can't wait for Doom 4! I thought it had really good reviews as well? Many of my friends who aren't even tech savvy know of and have played it.

If anything, I say Q4 was the failure IMO. Also, ID has partners that have released several games with iD Tech 4 as well, and some games are pending with it as well.
