OEM Overclock bios?

Thread Starter
Ive got an Emachines ET1331-03W that i just upgraded recently. Got a HD 6950 and swapped out the athlon II x2 for a Phenom x4 processor from new egg. Its only running at 2.7 ghz though, Im wondering if anyone knows about overclocking on an oem board?

I suppose flashing the bios would be the needed path to go, but why does the oem bios offer scaling tools if they are locked? Strange to me. Im not too worried about it as im gaming fine at the moment but i did just get a new cooler and would like to see how the machine reacts to atleast 3.5 ghz.

(Ps, i am on a Cooler Master GX 650w psu also)

Probably gonna need to upgrade the mobo too if you wanna overclock.

EDIT: Nvidia chipset lol, try Nvidia system tools... should be able to raise FSB

Have you tried Nvidia system tools? I had a laptop with Nvidia chipset and was able to bench my 2.4Ghz Q9200 @2.8Ghz without any voltage options just raising the FSB.
