Can I expect prices to lower within a month or so?

Been looking to upgrade my gpu to a pair of 570s. Average price is about $350 before you start getting into the rebates and whatnot.

With the 590 coming out, can we expect any sort of price drop at all or would only the 580 possibly drop, if at all?

Just curious to see if I should jump on the next deal I see or if waiting a month would save me any money.

The dual-GPU cards are in a completely different bracket. I wouldn't expect a general price drop over the next few months. If you see a good deal, jump on it.

K that's what I thought. After the 590 no more cards are really coming out from nVidia until the next series am I right? I can't even begin to comprehend the jump I'm going to get from a GTS 250 to SLI 570s.

There's always the chance of intermediary models like the did with the 200 series, like the 275/285, or the change from 465 to 460 last generation. The 570 is a fantastic card.

Your mind will be blown.

I heard a 550 was on the way, but that would be much lower than what you are after, and again wouldn't affect prices. I agree, if you spot a good deal just jump on it.

Who knows, I hope the 6990 lowers prices but I doubt it. I would go with 2 GTX560's in SLI first though. They will play games fine, save about $200, and resell well probably when new cards come out.

I don't resell my cards and I'd rather just get the 570s and leave me room to tri sli in the future.
