fraps and msi afterburner screen recorders

I'm trying record in game footage.

1. Fraps won't record at my resolution of 1600 x 900 which im playing, i have "Full Size" checked and it still records at half size. 900 x 445

2. Using msi afterburner recorder works well, but I cant open RTV1 videos in sony vegas or virtualdub. MJPG videos playback in mediaplayer but cant be edited with virtualdub and vegas. Uncompressed is too large of file size..

i want to record at full size, i can with afterburner but cant edit the files... any ideas?

FRAPS is the best one really...

Are you sure you have the latest version of FRAPS?
