[PCG] Battlefield 3 screenshots and more !

Tuesday night, at the Game Developer's Conference of 2011, a select few members of the press were given a sneak peak at the highly anticipated Battlefield 3.

EA revealed a bit of the single player campaign along with an in depth analysis and preview of the game's incredible engine. The Frostbite Engine 2, unlike the console-limited engine of the CoD franchise, is designed for PCs which makes Battlefield 3 a force to be reckoned with. Look out Crysis.

Some of this info and screen shots have been released. But though I would share the article. It was released today.

Sorry I forgot the thread preffix.

I haven't completely given up hopes for the full retail game, but from what's seen in the demo, Crysis 2 has nothing on BF3.

Did anyone notice the floating Humvee in the first picture?

the demo is DX9. it's not indicitive of the final game. the final game is DX11 & i'm betting will have a lot more eye candy.

but yea, BF3 is looking like THE graphical masterpiece of 2011.

I'll still buy buying crysis 2 though, loved the first couple games; even if i'm not a fan of their multiplayer i loved the single player.

I realize it's DX9. However, the difference between DX9 and DX11 is not substantial enough to make the difference it needs to be a real successor to Crysis. I've also seen the videos of the beta on Youtube (I don't condone piracy, mind you); the game looks the same there. Also, I'm talking gameplay as well; it lost the Crysis feel. As I said, I haven't completely given up hope, but I've given up on a pre-order.

More importantly, BF3 is also looking to be a audio masterpiece as well. I might be overzealous, but I have this inkling that the game will be close to perfect.

no dice game has ever been released without a crapload of bugs. and since they are not releasing mod tools, i simply do not understand the hype for this game. seriously, bf1 was nothing without mods. a good argument can be made for the second one as well.
