Need help routing loop. Please review!

Thread Starter
Hey all, this is my second attempt at a water cooling loop. The first loop worked and had no leaks, but I didn't clean the radiator well and it clouded the tubing and the tubing I used was very thin and kinked easily. This loop was also CPU only.

This loop is using 1/2 in. ID, 3/4 in. OD tubing and I have added the GPU into the loop.

Could you all take a look at the routing of my loop and let me know your opinions on it? Please give suggestions/criticism?

Thanks!

The specs are:
Swiftech QP 320 radiator
EK Supreme HF
EK FC5870 V2
Danger Den CPX-Pro
Swiftech Microres

looks ok, what are your temps like?

so just to confirm, you're running: pump>gpu>rad>cpu>res ?

You are correct on the routing.

I can't give you any temp. info yet. I haven't filled the loop yet. I just routed the tubing tonight.

seems ok then , though I would setup it up like this:

pump>cpu>gpu>rad>res

or

pump>rad>cpu>gpu>res.

Just curious, why would you choose that routing?

i rekon would look better if you had cpu going into top of graphics card. hoses look good when neatly curved not when pulled in straight lines.

A lot of folks believe the cpu should be the first block in the loop series since its the most heat sensitive component. I have mine setup like this:
pump>360>cpu>ram>mb>gpu bridge>240> res

I agree with wermad, but I also think your loop is fine.

I don't like going from pump to a block... I like going from a rad to a block. Why? because it should be the best way to get the coolest water to that block.

Ok, I will take all of these Ideas into consideration.

The reason I set it up like that was because I loved the way the layout in Koven's rig looked:

Here

So I tried to emulate it as best as I could.
