The atrix's screen is a TFT type as noted here.

What I would suggest doing is going to an AT&T store where they have working models and compare the different screens for yourself.

This this and this. It'll let you make a more informed decision on what you want, both with a screen and everything else(except android itself, easily modded on the majority of phones). Also, have a look at the winmo 7 phones, the interface in that is really slick and very easy to use, plus some can have android on them anyways.

Personally, I think the screen on my Atrix looks great, even in the sun.

I love my Atrix's screen. It still impresses me every time I use it.

i own a galaxy s, and my cousin has the atrix.

superAmoled:
colors look more vivid and 'pop' because they are more saturated.

atrix:
screen might appear washed out to ppl who use the galaxy s, but the atrix is more accurate. Very nice screen.
Also, the phone is damn fast. Didnt notice any lag.

They both look great, and with a resolution of 950x640, it makes the Atrix even better. Just keep in mind some apps on the android store need to be updated. While playing Words with Friends on the atrix, I had trouble grabbing word tiles on the edge of the screen.

Either way, both screens destroy HTC's LCD's on the nexus one/ G2/ Evo, etc.

When will Tmo come out with a dualcore? I hate waiting. confused.gif

Sorry OP but I need to respond to this.

I completely disagree, in fact I think HTC's screens are nicer(specifically my AMOLED desire). The colours are more natural and not really oversaturated unlike the galaxy S, it displays dark colours better and frankly its much easier on the eyes. Although you may disagree this is my opinion and the OP may be the same as me, who knows(a lot of people seem to agree with me though).
