Besides, if you have 60FPS, you're beyond playable. That should be all that matters, and indeed is all I really care about framerate wise. If it's above 20-30(Varies a bit) I can play just fine.
I don't think he really knows the purpose of V.sync.

Well shouldnt a demo be a representation of the final game? They should have worked it all out in beta before throwing out a demo. Im disappointed in crytec but not surprised.

Yes i agree, but i guess huge development costs and time constraints today make it difficult to release a demo.

Most games today dont even have demos so iam actually surprised crytek even put out one.
Strangely ,EA seems to release demos for some games and not for alll
I am looking forward to nfs shift 2 but i havent heard of a demo yet for that game.Shift 1 had one.It had the same crappy menu problem typical of consoles though.

Nowadays,i just stay away from games which start with 'press start or enter'.

The game iam really happy about for this year though is Battlefield 3.Its a proper PC game according to the devs.

Well...At least I'll have enough money now to go and buy BF3 instead

even im developer, i would think we need implant a choice for gamers to have or not to have enable the graphic beyond current spec{dx9-11),which can drive pc games to next generation of hardware.i mean other developer also try their best to put it even most not so care for dx11 or graphic.that i will appreciate them, they still remember us as pc gamers.

i can confirm dx11 is way more visual quality then outdate dx9.i mean when u compare the "Unigine Heaven" in dx11 for far can differentiate berween dx9 is the road, dragon and the roof top.(C2 roof top s**k).

our pc gamers most agree to look forward & will not look backward.u can try play crysis using old valve source engine,if u not care so much(jokes on u)
The word "u" is spelled "you", this is a forum not an AIM chat. Anyway, I think you are being a bit overly dramatic with the whole end of PC gaming thing. Crytek isn't the only one that makes intensely graphical PC games.

All I'm saying is judge on how the game looks, not the technology behind it. I've played Dx11 games, Dx11 looks like Dx10 with some extra particle effects and junk. Nothing game-breaking.

Crytek will release a Dx11 patch anyway.

See: http://exophase.com/21714/report-cry...-launch-patch/

Dx9 isn't that horrible, I can assure you that it will look better than a source game.

Its hard to even form an opinion on the graphics because after 30 mins of playing you realize you need to keep nanovision up 80 percent of the time or else your at a disadvantage.
