What Should My GPU Usage Be?

Thread Starter
Okay, still new at this. After seeing someones comment on their GTX 480 sli setup, stating that they get 90% or so usage from both cards on Crysis 2 demo. I'm wondering if something is wrong with my setup.

While checking with MSI Afterburner, I get 98-99% usage on GPU1 and a fluctuating 30-35% usage from GPU2. Now I don't think anything is wrong with my cards cause when testing on Furmark (multi) I get 99% from GPU 1 and 98% from GPU2.

What should I be expecting from my second card, not only from this game, but any game that supports multi-cards. Should the usage not be balanced?

Normally you will see near 100% usage on both. However, the Crysis 2 demo does not support sli, so it is only using your 1 gpu.

Thanks guys. I was just having a bit of a panic attack. Guess I should have verified with another game before posting. Just checked with BFBC2 and I'm getting balanced usage.

@Hodgoes2001, Does this patch work with non-EVGA cards?

it is just some extra sli profiles so yes it should work...

but you need a EVGA account to download it...

unless you can get it from somewhere else...
