What exactly did you do untill now ,from all the sugestions ?!
As from the whole thread you seem to have done only one thing ,replaced the thermal on the CPU smile.gif
Have you added exclusions to the AV settings ?
It can be that the thermal finally started to work at it s best ,as it needs few days to get to the optimum transfer.

As I said i had Micro-stuttering as well. Until yesterday that is. It solved itself which I hate the most.

The only differences are that I have disabled Windows 7 Firewall & WMP Sharing Service & ipV6 Teredo Tunneling Pseudo-Interface. I installed Comodo Firewall instead and I still have Avira enabled.

In WoW, in some areas the FPS would drop to 45-50 and some animations did lower FPS. It doesn't do that anymore biggrin.gif I would lower ANISO and it would help but now I can do 16xAniso + 2x AA without any drops and animations won't cause anything either.

I wonder if those things I disabled had any effect on cpu cycle.

It can be that the thermal finally started to work at it s best ,as it needs few days to get to the optimum transfer.

Didn't try any latest suggestions against, windows defender, avs, etc.

After resetting my PC again, BAM! Problem goes back.

I have a fresh install of Win 7, nothing on it except firefox, chrome, Crysis 1 and 2 for testing..

NO Antivirus, NO OS updates, Nada!

Stuttering in browser videos still (or micro stutter, it's so minute but frequent).

Video game performance has seemed to be decent again. I can't notice stutters anymore unlike before. (except for that time it had a "miracle" before I reformat).

Hmmm..

Thanks for the support still.. I still have no conclusion yet xD

About thermal paste.. IDK but I heard the shin etsu doesn't need to be like that for baking time or whatever it was.. The moment I applied and boot my pc: Load and idle temps were ~40% cooler than before.. idle at 40-50C before.. idle at 28-31C now (exactly the day of application).

Weird.

Still haven't done the ff:

CPU stress test or IDK what to call it
RAM stick test 1 by 1
RAM stick test with I forgot what program
HDD Jumper Test
HDD Seagate only (latest HDD only) test {remove MAxtor}
Remove DVD Burner Test

I forgot what other test I should do xD

Thanks all and +rep to the latest replies

Have you checked the DPC latency? I had audio and video drop out because of this. Use this: http://www.thesycon.de/deu/latency_check.shtml

I solved my problem by reinstalling my Wi-Fi drivers after using this tool to identify the problematic device.

Maybe the crappy HDD is the Seagate smile.gif

I think you may need to use a 3-rd HDD from somewhere as it seems you ve disturbed something formating ,just to exclude HDD as a culprit.

And don t forget you can use a HDD on the Promise controller to see if the behaviour changes - in a JBOD config (one drive ,not RAID).

You may need to use an empty HDD for a clean installation on this controller as it seems to do something to the bootsector of the HDD at setup.

To install a W7 supported driver you need on a fresh install to do/use this - > http://www.overclock.net/amd-motherboards/959892-installing-windows-7-promise-driver-msi.html

On a already existing installation you can force the installation from running Windows on the SB 600 and then ,after installing the Promise driver ,move the HDD SATA to the Promise ports (the ones with a diferent colour).

Install only one HDD to Promise.

It can be a SATA controller issue as well ,that s why i m telling this.

Anyway with a motherboard known to work you can pinpoint exactly if your K9A2 Platinum is crappy and needs a RMA or a recycle bin.

Good luck with your mobo in Bermuda Triangle ,i m out of suggestions smile.gif

So you may need a clean OS installation with only but drivers installed and the games to test with.

OMG! This was spot on!

I was about to reformat again but told myself.. hmm.. "IIRC, someone tolod me to try disable Windows Defender"..

I did.. VOILLA! x2 more FPS in Crysis 2 SP..

I was gonna reformat it since the FPS hit on the game started to happen AGAIN.. W/o me installing any other crap or what not.. nor changing any setting.. ***!?

Is this a known issue?

Hell Windows Defender wasn't even scanning but it slowed the FPS down significantly.. 0.o

Do you get stuttering if you hold down one key in a chat box like this? the characters should appear cleanly, and not jitter.

In my case it was GPU drivers that seemed to cause the problem. Bad RAM can also cause stuttering. Do an overnight memtest maybe?
