The Car mission was super easy.

Why are you running around trying to get the gas cans to fill up the car?

Just grab them, and "throw" them down next to the car, stock pile them...

The "hordes" don't get bad until you start filling the car up, and with the cans stock piled next to the car, you have it filled up in under 60 seconds, and then mission over, you're a success!

Sure you might get a few smaller hordes charging out at when you go pick up a gas can around the Mall, but then all you really have to do is keep them bottle necked and your Bot's easily pick them off and they hardly ever get a chance to touch you.

Just run out to one, grab it... run to a ledge and throw it down onto the floor. Once you have all the one's you need thrown onto the floor, then go run back down there, restock your ammo at the kiosk next to the car, grab a health pack if you need one... then go run to all the cans you tossed onto the floor and throw them over to the car into a single pile.

Then as I said, you can have that car gased up and ready in under 60 seconds!

I finished this mission in under 5 minutes this way!

I hardly ever have to heal them myself, and almost never bother with those "pain pills" and my Bots hardly ever ask for them, so I typically carry a pipe bomb, Molotov, or a bile bomb instead.

Seems to me, most people in this thread just don't know what they're doing with the Bots, so claim the Bots "suck" when they don't. This game is about strategy and using ones brain, instead of being just about mindless shooting... most people don't know how to "think" strategy, in a single player game, and just prefer the mindless shooting... which in turn, ends up going badly for them.

It's not too bad, depends what difficulty you play on. Play on realism Expert, and the bots are quite impressive,

But if you only plan to do SP, I'm not too sure if it's worth it, Multiplayer with friends really makes this game, so much fun.

L4D series is great...if you have friends. You NEED friends to play this game...otherwise...is no fun.

It's not popular opinion that the bots in L4D2 are terrible because of the opinion of one gamer. I cannot argue that they might be better than some human players, but generally, they make very stupid decisions about rationing, "forget" to come to your aid too often, and are worthless while completing an event (fetching soda, flipping a switch, etc. You'll have to be the sacrificial lamb every time).

That's what I did the second time, I was just using it as an exaggerated example that everyone could probably relate with. =P

the bots are pretty much your personal body guard int he game.. kind of liek floating auto turrets.. they can kill. granted, they arent the smartest. you gotta sort of move in a fashion that allows them to get in a position for you to play on.

Precisely.

I won't say they're great in terms of "smarts". But if one thinks, and uses them to ones advantage, thinks strategically with them, then they can preform excellently.
