All these posts and no mention of the ergonomics guide

OP, use that to determine your grip type and then you can choose a mouse you'd be comfortable with.

Hey hey ... I already know that I claw grip ... I tested it last night with COD 4 and Borderlands ... I even tried C&C 3 KW and even in a slow paced game I claw grip ...

A lot of ppl say that the DA can be claw gripped ... that isn't the main problem anyway as I have large hands and land up claw gripping most mice just to be comfortable ...

The problem is that ppl are saying that Razer mice just randomly break ... I can't afford to spend that much on a mouse just 2 have it self destruct a few months or a year later ...

I've had my fair share of gaming mice over the years and thankfully none of them have ever fallen apart or broken on me.

I've even got a Razer Copperhead First Edition (2005) that still works great! (Expecting my new Hyperglides for them any day now!)

With that said, I don't think Razer products are prone to randomly breaking when handled with care, although they are certainly more delicate feeling than Logitech products for example.

Now for the DA in particular, those mouse skates will certainly need to be replaced almost immediately

3 Years with a Deathadder (got stolen in a LAN), 1 year and a half with the DeathAdder 3.5G, works like the first day, just changed the surfers each 6 months because I use a Hard pad and they eat the surfers.

This thread will probably make it harder for you to choose a mouse with all of the suggestions lol. But I thought I would tell you about the Logitech G500 gaming mouse I have. Frankly its fantastic, the adjustable DPI buttons communicate with the mouses kernel and not through software on your computer. It also has built in memory, so it saves your key bindings and DPI presets on the mouse. Letting you plug it into any computer and have everything at your fingertips with out having to install any logitech software. Its only $53 now, I bought it when it was $75.

I hope this helps

I use a Sharkoon fireglider http://www.sharkoon.com/?q=en/content/fireglider
Its a great mouse and it's cheap in comparison to other more popular brands. It has teflon feet and you can change the weight.

I would highly recommend
