I use both, why not? what would you do with the other one otherwise?

Plus if you only use one then if you post pictures of your system you will always get that person that tells you that your system is going to explode because you are only using one.

im going to FREAK YOU OUT.

1 CF cable is giving me higher FPS than 2 CF cables...

Look at these images....

Using 2 bridges seems to lower my FPS, i was stunned so i actualy ran the tests twice...

okay so that messed with my head, so it got me thinking if i had a bad CF cable or something so then i tried it with 2 spare cables i had and the same thing happened...

Bridges are not required for SLI or X-fire. What they do is open up more lanes for the two graphics cards to communicate. It raises it a few FPS, but that's it.

Try running it a few more times? A 3-4% difference is within margin of error.

Bridges are required on higher-end cards by drivers. The allow direct communication between cards as opposed through a chipset.

It is the other way around. They allow the card to perform optimally. Not using a bridge on higher end cards is capping performance.
Once again...

Did you run it more than once? Could be a fluke. Try averaging out 3 runs each.

I don't know but if I run benchmarks I cant ever seem to get the same results... I have tested the bridge thing before and never noticed a difference so I just run two.

So I find it hard to believe you are getting and better or worse FPS using one or two and amazed that you are able to get the same FPS when you run a benchmark 2 or 3 times.

But hey if it works for you
