CPU + Duel GPU loop first time watercooler help please. - Page 2

Accelero Xtreme's are three slot coolers, I doubt you'd have any room for any other cards. I guess keep that in mind for your decision. If your case has the room for the radiators, you might as well cool the GPU's as well. The Accelero Xtreme plus the necessary mounting kit will cost almost as much as full cover blocks, though the Xtreme will allegedly have new mounting kits released for new cards. I'm not sure how conducive to GPU only blocks the 5870's VRM's are, some cards have really hot VRM's that are tricky to cool without the stock cooler.

Compressions are easier to deal with IMO, barbs either require hot water trickery or clamps which can be a hassle.

I'd steer clear of the X20 750 bay res pump, especially if silence is your goal. The res can't be used without the pump, and its pump isn't the greatest. Also, it's louder than many others. The quietest pumps would be a Swiftech MCP-35X turned down, a Laing D5 vario (also turned down), or an Aquacomputer Aquastream XT.

Accelero's are great but you don't want to use them in an 800D. The airflow isn't good enough.

@phos 3 slots is big but not really a problem for me as i have no use for the other slots anyway price wise the Accelero Xtremes I linked are the model for my gfx card and run at £30 each per water block even before I add fittings tubing and extra rads im looking at £60 so its kind of by far a cheaper solution, the question is whether it might also be as/more effective. While money really isn't a problem probably all told it would be over an extra £100 per card to WC them that's an extra card ^^

Silence isn't so much the goal but dropping my pc from a plane taking off to a somewhat reasonable level is
