The newer deathadder is fine. You just have to apply the firmware updates.

lol they are applied. Its a shocking mouse. Its a huge let down. Lift off distance is horrid. The mouse has a mind of its own when tracking.

The ikari and zowie ec1/2 all use the avago 3060 sensor. Could anyone give me the low down on this sensor? prediction and acceleration those sorts of things.

Don't get the EC1/EC2 unless you just enjoy wasting money on garbage mice.

no acceleration, but there is a little bit of prediction going on.

You haven't applied them all, or you just have a bad mouse that should have been RMA'd. Either way, all your questions about various mice are answered on this chart: http://www.overclock.net/mice/854100...nce-sheet.html

I thought you said your second one was perfectly fine other than the exception of LoD due to the IR light source? You can self fix that easily with a post it or tape, although I understand you shouldn't have to do that.

As far as tracking goes, I haven't had a single problem with the S3888 or S3668.

Ikari's LoD on dark surfaces is over 3.6mm which is DA territory. The lift off actually decreases with my red kai.G3 which lowers it to around 2.4mm.

Personally, the sensor doesn't lose perfect control or malfunction on cloth with my settings, but it does malfunction on hard surfaces with quick swipes. It also has prediction.

Tracking wise, the Zowie might be a little better due to a custom SROM and lens which lowers the LoD, but it still has prediction if you care about that.

I have had 2 DA respawns one was faulty and the other is the way its suppose to be. Extreme lod which causes tracking issues. I refuse to apply the tape as the product should not do what its doing. For a gaming mouse you would think razer would get the lift off distance to 1mm minimum.

I'm sorry if I to say this, but besides the ADNS-9500, 1.1/3.0/WMO, and EC1/2, a majority of mice have a naturally high lift off distance based on sensor characteristics/lens. Even the old 3G was as high as 3.6mm on the QcK.
