THANKS! Yep its been going for 15 mins now and nothing greater than 49*C but it is a tiny bit cooler than normal so lets just say 50*C when it was at 55*C before so thats an added bonus, i will be testing tonight to make sure it will survive with the lesser voltage!

Thanks for all the help!
+Rep to all!

Get a new board.
Now.
The reason I recommend a new board is not becuase of VRMs or anything... but because you need a chipset with a compatible southbridge & ACC/unlocker feature, that can be used to unlock your CPU into a quad core!
Yes, the Athlon II x2 215 is a locked Regor die and can unlock to a quad. Just like the 5000+ once.

I wasn't aware of that...thought that the Athlon II X2 were native dual-core. i now understand that the 215 and 220 were able to uinlock to Deneb C2 or Propus. Good info! we don't see them for sale now, do we? 512kb L2 cache per core Athlons?

I did a search for a few posts on the error 0x000A and all i found was that it can be related to DirectX, device drivers, such as your videocard probably, and RAM errors. If you can do the exact same thing again and see that windows still crashes, update DirectX and video card drivers and give a try again, just to be sure that it is indeed one of these things causing the error.
If you could gather some more info on the error if it happens again post it, and we'll try to sort it out

Yes, they are locked Propus with the 512kb cache/core and 4 cores. It's theoretically possible also that they're locked Regors with half cache, but there's been no way to prove that i.e. in the stepping numbers.

Okay you scared me for a sec, cus i have seen your thread of ppls bad experiences or whatever you called them and thought you were going to say the same...

I had no idea that it was a quad locked... that is amazing news!!!!!!!! Thanks for pointing that out for me, but for now i have NO money at all and no way to make any for a while, what board would you recommend? if there is an Asus capable of this i would prefer them (love asus) if not a gigabyte or something... But anyway what type of board and stuff you recommend for this?

and is there any possible way i could do this with what ive got now with like some software or something?

You'll need another motherboard. The problem may be availability of DDR2 and SB750 motherboards nowadays...If you consider to buy a new board it would be probably best to buy some DDR3 too, as newer boards capable of unlocking are much easier to find.

Or maybe in OCN's marketplace there is one for sale...

I am fine with getting a ddr3 motherboard as long as i am able to put my current cpu in it, and i will also check for some good cheaper ddr3 ram to go with it... What chipset and everything do i need to have to be able to have that unlocker?
