Watercooling SLI + CPU tips/tricks/advice?

Hello fellow OCNers!

I've ordered most of my parts for the water loop I am building. Using a MCP655 with a Black Ice 360 GTX, FrozenQ liquid fusion res with Koolance full GPU and CPU waterblocks. Cooling 2 GTX480s and an AMD x6 1090T.

My question is in the loop I am thinking. I have a dark fleet 85 case so with the FrozenQ res, space is at a premium. I was thinking mount the res next to the mono on the right, have it drop down to the pump, go out the back to the res, back in through SLI, to the CPU and back to the res (Res-pump-rad-sli-cpu-res). I've heard stories about cooling SLI in reverse, starting at the bottom and flowing up to the CPU being effective. This is the most efficient loop for me in terms of minimal tube use.
Should I scrap that idea and use more tubing and go from radiator to CPU then to SLI then all the way back up to the res? This might be better overall cooling but not sure if it is worth the sacrifice of having a lot less tubing in the other configuration.

Any advice or tips will be greatly appreciated with +rep when I get off my phone.

use quick disconnects. they are a bit expensive, but are totally worth it.

I would gravity fall + pump the water down the case. So I would go in the top of the first gpu block and out the bottom of the 2nd gpu block. If you can sketch up a quick paint drawing you might get some other ideas from others.

Your proposed setup (Res-pump-rad-sli-cpu-res) is fine. Changing it will only account for a couple of degree C change in temps. Therefore, stick with what you plan if that works best for your case management.

Yeah after looking at a few Youtube videos, they were actually seeing drops of 3-7 Celcius pushing the water up the GPU stack. What they figured was that since heat always wants to travel upwards, it is letting it do so and not forcing heat back down. Less tubing and a cleaner look look to outweigh any miniscule cooling gain. Thank you both very much for your responses. Will +rep when I get off my phone!
