Love my DeathAdder. To me its like the Gamer version of the MS wheelmouse or Explorer.

Ive tried Logitech, Sidewinders... nothing compares if you came from the MS mice.

If you prefer Logitech then you will want something else.

I loved my DA. I'd go with the DA, or the logitech MX518 like Mad Mule stated.

No way. As an ergonomic right hand mouse it's utterly impossible to find a good Claw/Fingertip grip for it, it's also just far too bulky for both grip styles.

Get an Abyssus if you Claw/Fingertip, DeathAdder is only for Palmers.

I don't necessarily think so.

I claw grip the carp out of my DA and wreck shop 24/7. By claw, I mean I only use my thumb and ring finger to control the mouse and rest my index and middle fingertips on the 1 and 2 buttons. I lightly move my wrist when needed, but never my arm. My palm rests on the desk/mat.

And fingertip pretty much works with any mouse. I could even fingertip a G500, but it would be too heavy for long sessions from my experiences...

I've had 2 Razer mice quit on me in the last few years, each only lasted about 1year before the mouse scroll quit responding as it should. Also on my DA every single click turned into a double click, which was extremely annoying for me.
This time around I went with a G500, and so far it's a great mouse. The scroll feels MUCH better on it then the DA ever did.
Honestly, after my experience I will never purchase another Razer mouse. I'm gonna stick with this G500 for awhile and see how long it lasts.

I chose a G500 over the DA because it was £30 as opposed to £50.

Thread Starter
First, thanks for all the replies guys will add the reps after I watch the real-madrid game. Now, I am a cross between palm gripper and the other kind......leaning more towards the palm. I have used the older DA before and liked it. Right now my budget is somewhere around the price of the new DA. One of my friends suggested the G500 which probably has weight adjustments or something. I love the way DA-old performed and LOOKED (apart from that ghastly white scroll, attracting dirt). I just needed your confirmation. Thanks again.
Oh, RAT is probably not available here in INDIA and costs much more so not my option.

EEEk, just read the latest posts........ is the g500 really better than the DA?

I had a G5 (G500 is Logitech's new model) and when it stopped working (only a few years lifetime - disappointed), I got a DeathAdder. The G5 was great, but I didn't especially like the cavity for the thumb (felt awkward at times, maybe because I'm left-handed though) and the weights were pretty dumb. The DeathAdder feels better to me, only thing I would change is the glossy surfaces because they do collect a bit of grit (just wipe it off).
Either one works...one thing to consider is your hand size. Mine are relatively small.
