Alot of it has to do with personal preference. I really liked my DA over the logitech shape. I used logitech since owning the MX510. Now I stick with the DA.

Hmmm.... just added a poll. Lemme say that I find the design and grafics-work on the G500 unattractive, but if its that good I might just get it. These are both pretty costly here so want to make sure before I get it.

Deathadder has a better sensor than the G500, so get the deathadder.

I tried the Dethadder and the Abyssus while in store at best buy last week. And for me a person with normal hands and a claw grip I ended up getting the Abyssus. I managed to find it online for 30$ also. For the price it's worth a shot. I really don't care for a flashy mouse either. Just need one that gets the job done for FPS. Plus another thing too the Abyssus has just 3 buttons. I have used mice in the past with tons of button and crap on them but never really needed it.

Basically a palm gripper rests his palm on the back of the mouse, and moves his arm as well to move the mouse. If you do not move the arm, and do not rest the hand on the mouse, but keep the fingers crooked and only move the mouse with the wrist and fingers, you're a claw/fingertip gripper.

It will work for all 3 grips, but it's the best for palm. It's a GREAT mouse anyhow.

Just be aware of the glossy side plastic that becomes VERY annoying when you're sweaty. If you're not sweaty, you'll have no issues.
This is probably the best post on this thread, although the new black edition solves those sweat issues.

Subjective, there is no "best mouse". People prefer different things, but it would be wise for you try out and see which shape you prefer before buying either.

i love my deathadder as well, i have had it for over a year now, and treat it like my baby. the build quality is great and it feels very chunky and robust. which is good. it is also quite sleek.

i also had a g500, but the right mouse button quit working (would only work if you press very hard), so i sold it to one of my clients who is an artist for $15 when i built him his computer.

the g500 seems like it has more features, but it is lacking in build quality compared to the razer. this is just my opinion, as i have had no problems with my adder at all, and the clicks still feel as clean and crisp as they did the day i bought it.

love the deathadder i had it died after 4 years. using the lachesis now would go back to deathadder in a heart beat.

Thanks everyone for your inputs. rep added to all.
I know about the Abyssus. I will check it out but I think its not for me cause I prefer heavier mice. I also use the 2 sidebuttons for internet/win-explorer navigations. If all goes to plan, I will pick up the DA tomorrow cause I really dont like the looks of the G500. M really sorry to say it. And also, I have used the 1800dpi DA before and liked it quite a bit.
My questions now are, should I get the normal DA or DA Black-edition? what are the differences? and are there any major changes in DA v2 from DA v1 ?
