I was quite furious seeing some moron playing CS:S on my account, likely hacking/cheating getting my account VAC banned, but I understand that there are thousands of tickets being submitted daily and it's impossible for Valve to get back to everyone within minutes. If you lead a customer service department you'd understand; I have previously. They can't just go out granting everyone's request; it's a process that requires confirmation of the account owner's identity.

Last time I recovered my account (got automatically banned by the server for purchasing a game one two accounts in close proximity with the same credit card) I just submitted my last four digits for the credit card used to buy the first game on the account. It doesn't take much for someone to compare that to the account.

Also I work in customer service daily. Maybe my standards are too high to be maintained in a large corporation.

And finally, my main frustration through that particular event was that there was absolutely no way whatsoever to call and get it resolved in a timely manner whatsoever. If you call, Valve's IVR tells you to eat dirt and submit a ticket.
