AM3 CPU Thermal Design Power Question

Thread Starter
My cpuid Hardware Monitor Pro says my CPU Watt is 108.75 when the maximum on the cpu should be 95, I have pretty much default bios, i've uploaded my hwmonitor, so can anyone tell me if something looks wrong? cpu voltage is also 1.48v and i also have the same cpu in another motherboard and it reads 1.45v, both computers have default bios, When i change it back to 1.45v it still reads 1.48v :S

Anyway my cpu is AMD Athlon II x3 450, Also could someone tell me what half of these temp reading are on hwmonitor, i'd be thankfull.

Should be 95W without overclock. Also, cheap 3+1 phase mobo, I recommend staying away from any overclocking. Ignore what HWMon says.

Do any of those reading in that picture tell me what temperature chokes, mosfets and northbridge/southbridge are?

Cheers xd 1771, btw the lower my cpu voltage is, the longer it will last? or less likely it will die right? is 1.48v normal for an am3 cpu?

1.48V for your chip is high, I think they default at like 1.35V or that's what mine defaults as but I have it at 1.4V

It helps maintain it's lifespan if you keep it at the recommended voltage. Over that decreases it's life. By how much, I don't know.

Lower is usually better both for the motherboard and the chip, though usually only at around 1.475-1.5V do you start seeing longetivity drop by a few years or so (down from 10-12 years?).

i've got it now at 1.35v, I haven't tryed to get it lower, but it should be good at this voltage right?
