Chinese site Win7China had an exclusive talk with their tipster in Microsoft and according to them Windows 8 would have restore to Factory settings option which would allow users to fully restore your windows to ‘factory’ state within 2 minutes and also it wouldn’t utilize much of the disk space.

Windows 8 Milestone 3 took 8 minutes compared to the 23-25 minutes taken by Windows 7 on same configuration.

Am I the only one feeling bad for the leak after seeing that wallpaper?

Really cool factory default change, looking forward to it. Regarding the sleep change, I don't put my PC to sleep anymore because I live at home. I'm sure if I lived alone and paid my own bills I'd live by putting it to sleep. But until then, putting a PC to sleep and waiting for it to wake up is just a tedious process in my opinion.

I would love that feature... as if I don't reinstall the OS enough anymore... Acually I'm surprized my laptop has gone over a year without a reinstall. Though its surprising that this dell has lasted a year... its starting to show its age... poor core 2 duo lol.

great feature but DO NOT LIKE. due to the fact that i work at geek squad and if people have that if they get a virus or screw something up. they might be able to fix it themselves. . make a lot of our money in o/s repair/virus removal.

So? I'm pretty sure geek squad is known for taking advantage of people.. This is an early leak, if you're still doing low level geek squad work by the time windows 8 hits retail you shouldve either moved up to a better position or better yet, get a different job.

Geek squad requires what, an A+ cert and nothing else? Not like you trained all your life for that.

Lol, never heard of a Geek Squad guy with an A+ cert even. They usually just take salesman out of the PC department when they need Geek Squad staff. Such a joke.

Pfft.

Whatever "Features" Windows 8 may have doesn't interest me.

What interests me is if they bloody work as intended.
