Wish they'd remove the registry, and maybe write a better kernel. NT has been around for a while now.
Yea. I would love if they removed the registry. That's probably the number 1 feature I want from the core operating system. Other than that an option for small icons, show labels, and always group for the taskbar which they currently don't have.

I wouldn't mind them just taking the registry and moving it to something like sql lite or ditch the whole one location for program settings.

Only if its Windows Vista SP5/Win7 SP2.

Otherwise it'll be kernel version 7.

So Windows 8 contains a feature built on the assumption that the OS will break down? Wow, that's a brazen feature to market.

Care to upload or explain how to create the bat and reg file?

One thing I'd like to see fixed in Win 8 is the constant bugging of Aero. It's very irritating when it randomly switches on and off for absolutely no reason. It's a serious problem from my point of view and a bug that makes Windows not worth buying.

Anyone with any computer common sense would never need to go see the Geek Squad anyways... so I doubt you would be losing any customers, lol

every laptop in the market that have been through my hands have a recovery partition. usualy F8 or F10 or F12. i usualy press all 3 and wish they work lol
what is a recovery partition? factory reset... puts your computer to your factory values...
how can i do a recovery partition? there are programs that will do that for you and if your skilled enough you can do it in c++
oh and the windows vista and 7 already does a backup image of it which you can copy it to a different partition if you wish :O zomg

*reads a feature for windows 7* OH OH DIRECTX 11 IS FOR WINDOWS 7 ONLY
*turns on laptop with windows vista installed press's the windows button and types dxdiag*
OH OH MY PC MUST BE A WINDOWS 7 IN DISGUISE CUZ ME HAZ DIRECTX 11
features.... they just fooling ya

i seriously cant understand. most of the features that were brought by windows 7 or for this new windows already existed in the so hated windows vista...

Geek squad requires what, an A+ cert and nothing else? Not like you trained all your life for that.
Getting an A+ cert will probably either get you fired from Geek Squad or never hired in the first place

With the rumors of Windows 8 supporting ARM chipsets, wouldn't a new kernel be in order?
