Or some similar combination of parts.

If you decide to go with the biostar you like, check out this 6850:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814131374
(since the biostar isn't available in a combo)

Oh.... on the hard drive. The spinpoint F3 is $55 right now
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16822152185 May want to swap that in instead of the 500GB drive I mention above...

If you want a REALLY good modular PSU at a great price:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...-016-_-Product
The OCZ I mention above is a very reasonable unit, I'd take it over the raidmax any day. The Antec for $65 is hard to beat, even at a higher price.

Eric
I’m undecided on the CPU, I like the 555 because it’s easily overclocked; has 6mb L3 cache and might have 2 good locked cores but the 455 would be the safer bet and I’m told it’d use less Watts even when unlocked compared to that of the 555.

What do you think? Which performs better when overclocked and unlocked?

I’d say my mind is made up about the Biostar after reading some more glowing reviews; 2 bad they don’t offer any combos on it

The Antec PSU and F3 hard drive are perfect, having them also, along with the case + optical combo

RAM PNY 4GB 1600Mhz CL8 57$\\37$ AR
HDD Samsung F3 1TB 55$

total : 640$\\570$ after rebates , great system with good overclocking potential
Unfortunately I’ll be making an international order using viaddress so won’t be able to clame rebate

According to this benchmark both the 555 and 455 outperforms the AMD Phenom II X4 820 when unlocked? The 555 & 455 being the B55 and B45, respectively.

Also be careful if you get the NZXT Vulcan. I had problems with my tower cooler (Hyper 212+) in it. As in it would not fit.

I would suggest this instead of a tower cooler inside the Vulcan:

If you wanna save some more cash, there's an XFX GTS 250 on sale again. It should get you by.
Agreed. The Biostar is absolute quality!

Yeah i thought a after market cooler would be a problem... know of any similar but cheaper cooler thn the one you refered me 2?

The GTS 250 looks like a good deal but I want a DirectX 11 video card. I'm think maybe i should get a Radeon HD 5770 1GB for $120 ?

BTW i noticed you have a Phenom II X4 B55 in your signature. Would you recommend it over the X3 455 and X4 820?

The InWin is a good case but it's heavier thn the Vulcan and i need to save as much weight as possible as i'm shipping internationally.

PhenomII x4 B55 is an X3 455 unlocked. For a good cooler in a micro case, check this one out. Cools my X3 450 unlocked to B50 quite well.

The first of the 3 setups that mdooc recommended is the winner of the 3. Great deals there. That system would do everything you want and more and leave you room to play.

Yeah but i can't claim rebate so it comes to just about the same price of the current setup

really trying to bring everything down to at least $550 cuz it'll cost me $200 to ship internationally!
