Getting my Folding Card to Work?

Hi All,

I recently bought a GTX 560 Ti to use for folding and encoding stuff. I already have a 5870, but it sucks at folding, encoding, etc. I would like to use the 560 as a dedicated "PhysX" or folding card alongside my 5870.

Long story short, I installed the 560 and got the drivers working and everything. I have a GD70, so the 5870 is the top 16x slot and the 560 is in the bottom x16 slot. Both cards are being recognized by Windows, GPU-Z, and Afterburner all see both cards and report back temps and clocks. I tried to use the Hybrid PhysX 1.04 Patch, but I'm not sure that it supports the drivers the 560 needs to run (266.66). There is no activity on the 560 and it won't switch on when I run Nvidia's hair thing.

Any ideas as to what I should do to get hybrid physX to work? Thanks.

Bob

No idea on the physx, but for folding its simple.

Follow this guide, and then create a shortcut of the client then add -gpu 1 flag so it uses the second card.

Hey, thanks for the reply, I got the folding pretty easily. It sill won't act as a physics card though, which is too bad. I think it's just because they haven't patched the drivers yet. Too bad.
