    Waiting for Kepler

This may be off topic, but right now I'm running a 9500GT on my brand new i7 870 build. I was waiting for the 560 and now its here. So do I wait and save for the first gen Kepler GPU's, when a fully unlocked second gen chip makes a ton more sense. Or do I grab the 560 hawk when it gets released and wait untill Maxwell, PCI-E 3.0 and probably a whole build overhaul?

Maxwell? Are you serious about waiting for it?
If you really mean it, I suggest you to get the 560. I would justify these thoughts only if you are planning to spend more than 600-700$ only on GPUs.

I am a maybe for the 590. My 580's step-up is good until April, so if EVGA will allow a 580->590 step-up, and the extra cost isn't more than $200, and it will fit in my case and my PSU is adequate, I will probably get it.

wouldnt make sense, especially since i just upgraded to these 580s from dual 6970s. if i need MOAR ill just add another 580.
No. I'm getting a 6990 next week, and will go Tri-Fire with my 6970, both watercooled. My Tri-Fire set-up (5970+5870) is rock-stable since 1 year and 3 months already.

3 GPUs, more VRAM, for the price of 2 GTX 580. Why pay more for less?
