You won't believe me until you try it but NONE.

The iPhone 4 is some anomaly from God. I don't know how such perfection could exist. Seriously, writing about how the 3GS sucks in comparison is making me go insane. It's like trying to convince someone that a hamburger is better than liquid **** for breakfast..

I've never had a bad signal, but.. I live in Manhattan.
The whole antenna thing is a bit screwed up (when I hold the sides of the phone at the bottom, I can actually see my bandwidth going down), but I've tried the same thing on my girlfriends' HTC Evo 4G and got similar results, even though I don't quite know where its antenna is.
I think if they just moved it upwards, it wouldn't bother anyone - they just placed it where one would grip the phone.. which is just dumb.
The point is - even if you put both hands on it, you're still going to get a good enough signal to talk.

But yeah, unless you want to get an iPhone 5 which will be twice as fast, and I might just get it, get an iPhone 4. I got my 32GB for 750$ directly from Apple.

I believe they've fixed the signal issues, if they haven't apple should still be distributing free cases. As for glass back cracking I'm not sure...

ACtually, it IS the same phone. They just rebrand it on every carrier.

Why are people recommending it then?!?

Well, for the OP, my big post up a bit is a no bull analysis of the reasons why you'd get each phone. I suggest you choose whichever one suits you the best.

Track was wrong then... I knew they were similar but really, the differences are almost negligible that we shouldn't be getting caught up on this issue.

I have jumped phones so much : iPhone 3g>Blackberry storm 2>iPhone 3gs>Droid>Droid Incredible>iPhone 4 : And now I'm back to my blackberry tour lol. Personally I would say go with the iPhone 4, if you wait a few more months for the new one the price on it should go down a bit. If not the 3gs is a great option as well. I love android as well but all the small issues it has really add up, even after rooting and getting it the way you want. Id say for a first timer get the iPhone.

Although this is true the HTC HD2 seems to be a good middle man, runs anything bar iOS (I wouldn't be suprised if it popped up in the future though, the hero was running it perfectly I think). I say the HD2 because you have the option between Win mo 7 which is a brilliant OS for simpletons, and android which is a tinkers best friend.
