2 GB RAM DDR3 1333 Super Talent

GV-R567OC-1GI

ASUS Triton 88 (I got it on a bargon for 45$ ) cool.gif
http://uk.asus.com/product.aspx?P_ID=ngnrJAuyQwpRwPef

I am currently running my PC at 4 Ghz and i was wondering if i could go higher wink.gif My Voltage is 1.472 ( is that high? ) I also managed to unlock my other 2 cores applaud.gif No problem so far i have tested the PC on Prime95 4 hours and the Temp went from 24 C to 41 C . I didnt have the guts to got beyond 4 Ghz and i dont know if its safe ... I am not running the PC normaly 7/24h more like : every day for a max of 6-7h. I am open to new and better BIOS settings.

Of course you can go higher

Hitting 4 Ghz on that CPU is cake, if youre mobo and PSU can supply the power and you have adequate cooling you can push it more.

You may find that your unlocked cores dont reamain stable at a higher overclock tough. Youll juat have to find out.
Do you know the systematic way to OC?

No sinks on the vrm's so I'm a little worried about much more voltage. Have you done any other stress testing than prime?

Unlocked cores can also sometimes seem to work but become unstable hence a possible reason for locking in the first place.

Do not go higher on that motherboard. Anything over 1.475 volts, and your likely to fry the VRM's. If you are overclocking you really DO NOT want a 3+1 phase power mobo.

Be careful. The guy who posted after me may know about that board from personal experience.
I saw that it it didnt have defined maximum CPU wattage limit, so I figured its a pretty decent mobo, but these 3+1 phase mobos are known for failing when you push them.

So to reiterate what I said and what the others contributed. The CPU can take it, the mobo may not. Also, a 400 watt PSU is pretty small for your system, you should upgrade. Its good to have headroom.
